History:	I've been riding sportbikes for 17 years, starting in 1991 with a 1989 Honda CBR 600, Rode it for 7 years and then sold it for a year old 1997 Triumph Daytona 595 (actually 955 CC's). Great motor but a little too heavy,sold it a year later for a brand new 2000 Honda CBR 929 RR. Loved this bike and and had no plans to sell it until the photos and reviews of the "new Ducati 1098" started popping up. I brought my first Ducati home in March of 2007. I plan to hold on to my 1098 until the day I stop riding!!!
Modifications:	aftermarket windscreen - I'm 6'4" and the stock screen blocked my view of the tach - although after getting used to the bike I shift by ear and feel.
Problems:	exhaust manifold heat shield fell off - the weld securing the shield snapped.
Comments:	I've always lusted after Ducati's but never really thought I'd pony up the cash to own one - money well spent!
