History:	This bike was bought by the owner of Bogarts in Birmingham AL. online from someone in Michigan and the bike had been neglected. The bike had almost 9,000 miles on it then. Bogarts replaced the fuel tank due to rust with a new tank. The entire body work was repainted and the 12,000 mile service was done when I purchased it. I have all of the service records from Bogarts. I have since piled money into the bike replacing any commponent that looked worn or corroded. The bike is going to be like new when I am done with it and will have cost me a small fortune. I figure the owner of Bogarts got tired of spending money on it and sold it to me. This bike has found it's way to a good home where it will be looked after as it should. I rebuilt th forks with Ohlins internals and rebuilt the rear Ohlins shock. I have replaced 95% of all rubber items on the bike with new stock items. I have thrown shovels of money at this bike to put it back to 100% condition. I have replaced swing arm bearings where needed, regreased and cleaned every thing else.
Modifications:	Nichols light weight fly wheel, Nichols upper triple clamp, OZ wheels, MotoWheels battery box, Arrow mid-pipe and chip. The bike came with some unknown carbon cans on it and they sound great. I put on a 39 tooth STM rear sprocket and new 15 tooth in the front with new chain. I installed the take off clutch from my 2004 999r which was brand new.
Problems:	Electrical shorting from the stator to the snap connector. I rewired the stator wires with 10 gage wire and hard wired all connectors where required.
Comments:	I have not put very many miles on this bike yet and much of the work done was done over the 2006/2007 winter. I am looking forward to some riding time this summer of 2007. The engine is in good shape and runs sweet and strong.
