History:	Bought bike in June 2008. First service done at 580 miles. "Service" message showing. Not a problem to me. VR problem fix in Sept. at 990 miles on the odo. Waited in shop for 1 week. New battery also installed. They are using the VR's from the 2007 1098 models. They had 5 bikes in their shop including an '08 848. They did the 600 mile service while bike was at the shop waiting for the VR but I told them it was already done so no charge plus my "service" message is gone! Very happy to date. Bike has started on first attempt from cold every time. This never happened in the past.
Modifications:	None to date. Full Termis on order from Commonwealth Moto.
Problems:	Only one was the hard starting (at least 3X) from cold. One overnight trip I did, took 10 minutes to get it started. This was with th eoriginal VR. Now I am very happy and looking forward to more overnight trips.
Comments:	Love this bike and its ergos. Sold my '06 CBR 1000RR since it was not getting any seat time. This bike had all teh mods (PC III, pipes, air cleaners etc) including Heli bars but was not as comfy as this one. Had 5500 miles on it when sold.
